Predator and Prey
Egrets are primarily carnivorous birds that feed on a variety of prey, typically small animals found in their habitat. Their diet can include fish, frogs, insects, crustaceans, and even small mammals like mice. When an egret catches prey, it uses its long, sharp bill to grasp and sometimes stab its food. This feeding behavior is crucial for their survival and is often observed in wetland areas where egrets hunt for food in shallow water or grassy regions.
My Logo
These beautiful logos were designed by Senthil C Rajan, a Malayalam film director, prominent ad director, and an actor. The primary logo ingeniously integrates the initials P and C, symbolizing ‘Painlessclicks’. Resembling a bird, the design is particularly fitting for bird photography. The secondary logo indicates my name Priyadharsini Priya.

Bird photography involves using specialized equipment like telephoto, and zoom lenses to capture detailed images of birds in their natural habitats. It requires patience, keen observation, and technical skill.
Choose a digital camera with a telephoto lens to capture birds from a distance without disturbing them. Image stabilization can be crucial for sharp images, especially with handheld shots. Early and late afternoons often offer the best lighting conditions (soft, warm light) and when birds are most active. Patience is essential as birds may appear sporadically.
Let the birds come to you by positioning yourself in areas they frequent. Use camouflage, blinds, and hides to blend into the environment. Move slowly without making noises. Understand bird behavior to anticipate their movements. The key is to minimize disturbance and let the birds feel comfortable with your presence.
